Handmade from scratch in my studio in Tallinn. The first Seagull Jug was made back in London in 2014, since then each year its design slightly changes; with handle or not, tall or wide, with or without spikes etc. This particular jug has been slip-casted using one of the original small Seagull Jugs I made on the potter's wheel back in Malta.
Quite often I get asked what is the purpose of the jug and how one can use it. It's basically a pourer either for cream or milk, or maybe some maple syrup for waffles or pancakes. I also use it as a stationary for pens and brushes.
Each jug is an individually handcrafted work, there may be slight variations in shape between pieces. The inside is glazed; the outer surface is hand-painted with pottery paint.
