Handmade from scratch in my studio in Tallinn. The first Seagull Jug was made back in London in 2014, since then each year its design slightly changes; with handle or not, tall or wide, with or without spikes etc.
Quite often I get asked what is the purpose of the jug and how one can use it. It's a pourer either for cream or milk, or maybe some maple syrup for waffles or pancakes. I also use it as a stationary for pens and brushes or as a planter.
The inside is glazed with food-safe glaze; the outer surface is sanded. The pastel pink colour is achieved by adding ceramics stains to the porcelain clay body, the outer surface is gritty, rustic texture, because of the grog in the porcelain clay body.
